Dive Nicaragua

Scuba diving is new to Nicaragua. There are three areas that are
common dive spots in Nicaragua, they are the southwestern Pacific
coast, the Laguna de Apoyo and the Corn Islands. However there
seems to be tremendous opportunity for dive exploration and new
dive spots are common. One way to stay informed is to stay in
contact with the extablished Dive shops.

Nicaragua's Pacific Side:

Nicaragua's Pacific side offers excellent diving, particulary in the
south near San Juan del Sur. A new dive shop has just opened
near the edge of town, A Bucear run by local dive master Fidel
Lopez. Ask there for dive conditions as they tend to vary greatly
day to day.

Nicaragua's Carribean:

The Corn Islands offer a wide variety of stunning wildlife, including
rays, eels, angels, groupers, sharks and enormous pools of
African pompano. There is a dive shop on each island that can
let you know whats up.
Little Corn Island is a small, remote Caribbean island,
unspoiled by tourism and development. It is English speaking.
There are no cars, no jet skis, little in the way of crass
commercialism, nightlife and gift shopping. The island's reef
offers a variety of unique diving adventures, from caves and
caverns to un-chummed shark encounters. There are beautiful
corals and sponges, and virtually every reef fish classified as
Tropical Caribbean.

Little Corn Dive Shop is small and laid back. We do not use
cattle boats. We dive from a comfortable and fully equipped
dive-designed panga. We cater to divers of all levels, though
there is a decidedly low-tech atmosphere and focus to what
we do.

Nicaragua's Laguna de Apoyo:

Set in a picturesque valley brimming with wildlife, the lovely Apoyo
crater lake is another one of Nicaragua's many natural wonders.
Dry tropical rainforest along the surrounding slopes contains much
biodiversity, and the pristine waters of the lagoon are great for diving.
